Since moving to our new location just over a year ago, we’ve grown by 65% as people come worship with us in our weekend services. In fact, during our Sunday services our parking lot is often completely full, and our sanctuary is regularly at over 80% capacity in both services. Many weeks our sanctuary has been uncomfortably full, so we’re having to add a third service this Fall. The reality is, we’re running out of space. That’s a good problem, right? It can be, but if our growth is not navigated well, it can quickly become a barrier to reaching people with the good news of Jesus Christ. So what do we do?

Well after much fasting and prayer, as well as collaboration with our Elders, and key leaders, we’re officially moving into a capital fund raising campaign to build a new sanctuary on our property, as well as to build key outdoor environments for our children and youth. We’re in essence making room for all ages, and setting course and direction for generations to come.

You see, for over 13 years, people from all walks of life have called Freedom Church home, and because so many of you have made sacrificial decisions to make room for more people, we’ve watched our mission of reaching people far from God, and helping them become fully devoted followers of Jesus take place on a weekly basis. Yet, I believe we’ve only scratched the surface, hence why, “Now Is The Time” to boldly, and in faith, move forward.

Now, it would be much easier for us as a church to remain comfortable, reaching only the existing families and individuals that call Freedom home. Yes, we love all our family members, but, that’s not the exclusive heart and mission of Freedom Church. Our heart and mission is way bigger than our current situation. In fact, our heart and mission beckons all of of us to roll up our sleeves in this new assignment, and to watch as God brings forth His fruit. Fruit that brings salvation. Fruit that sees the sick become well. Fruit that transforms not only individuals, but cities as well. Fruit that won’t allow generations to be lost in the fray of cultural chaos. Fruit that paves the way for the return of Jesus, and “Now Is The Time!”

It’s TIME to extend our reach and lengthen our cords. Our vision is big, and our mission is strong, as we continue to be a life giving church to families across Central Texas, and ultimately to the utter ends of the earth. Just as Mordecai told Esther in Esther 4:14 …who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

Well, I believe this is, “OUR TIME!”, and I also believe that God’s fingerprints are all over this new season in the Freedom family. So…are you with me? Let’s roll church!
